CNC Machining

CNC Machining Services supported by the DMV 4020L

Our new Daewoo brand DMV 4020L is a vertical cnc machining center designed for heavy cutting of tough materials.

Its heavily ribbed, one-piece bed resists deformation during heavy cuts. The fine-grain, Meehanite composition offers thermal properties and dampening characteristics. The larger, 45mm linear guide ways are widely spaced, using a "long carriage" truck design for optimal weight distribution. A 19.7" x 47.2" table supports its 1,760 lbs.

The 12,000 RPM, 40-taper, cartridge-type spindle is supported by six permanently lubricated precision bearings. Its 20HP AC motor transmits power through a belt and pulley system to minimize slippage and vibration. Feeding the spindles is a 30-station ATC with a random-access, double-arm tool changer. Tool change time is 1.5 seconds. With an attached encoder, rigid tapping is standard. The DMV 4020L vertical cnc machining center is available with or without through-the-spindle cooling.

Travels are 40.1" x 20.1" x 24.6" (X x Y x Z). Each axis is driven by a double-nut ball screw. The ball screws are centered between the guide ways, and supported on both ends by angular contact thrust bearings. This design offers positioning repeatability and no thermal growth. Ball screws are connected directly to the servo drive motor. Gears and belts are eliminated to maximize power and eliminate backlash.
